Mob Wife-inspired aesthetic tablescape.
Vodka cream sauce, mafaldine pasta, and Italian meatballs are what’s for dinner!

My sister said, “For dinner tonight, you should do a Mob wife-inspired tablescape,” and I said, “Yes”! So, for this tablescape, I channeled the mob wife aesthetic. It’s a little rebellious! The mob wife style is chic and is a bold maximalist aesthetic that takes cues from pop culture icons like The Sopranos. The style is a black base outfit with leather or fur, lots of gold jewelry, and leopard print. It’s not just a style but an energy that reflects don’t mess with me. It’s all about the attitude and power of a confident woman.
For my interpretation of Mob Wife chic, I started with a leopard print fur blanket as the tablecloth. First, I laid a bed of Rucus leaves to add a pop of color to the table setting. Next, I added a white dish and a pasta bowl for each place setting. I used gold silverware for the jewelry. For the water glasses, a classic wine stem glass.
For the centerpiece, I used a gold mirror to anchor the design. Following, I added gold candlesticks for height. For a touch of elegance, I used vintage Princess House hurricane candleholders.
The red roses are my interpretation of red lipstick.
For a maximal look, I added lots of little details. Around the edge of the gold mirror, I have an assortment of delicious grapes.
An added embellishment is these sweet vintage blue grape salt and pepper shakers, adding another vibrant color to the tablescape. They were my Nonnie’s. Yes, she wore leopard print all the time and killed it. She was always fashionably dressed, including beautiful bold jewelry pieces.
I have a charcuterie board filled with Italian meats, smoked provolone, spicy provolone, green olives, Italian bread, and olive oil dipping sauce.
The main event is my take on the classic spaghetti and meatballs. For the sauce, I used Ina Gardner’s delicious vodka cream sauce.
Buon appetito!
Creating this will bring you triumph at your next affair, and I hope you have fun doing it, too!
Always,
Rachael
