It's unfairly evolving, but some trends will forever be relevant. For me, a table setting captures the beauty of any affair, big or small.
I enjoy styling and decorating my bar cart to fit the current season or to match my tablescape. Bar carts are especially helpful when entertaining. Most bar carts are on wheels, making it easy to roll them where needed. Currently, it's a Father's Day Scottish theme breakfast for FORE! Before he hits the greens, let us have a cocktail. A Bloody Mary bar is festive, and everyone can garnish them as they desire.
Displayed on the bar cart, I have everything I need to mix up a spicy Red Snapper or Bloody Mary. It's your preference, and all the ingredients are interchangeable. I do recommend giving the gin-base Red Snapper a try. It's spicy, bold, and packed full of flavor. Last spring, we visited a gin distillery in Scotland. Persie Distillery was a fun stop, and we fell in love with all the different flavorful gins. My favorite was their Herby & Aromatic Gin that I am using today.
First, I made a batch of spicy Bloody Mary mix. I used this recipe. I leave out the liquor and add it myself. That way, you can choose if you would like vodka or gin. I started with hot sauce, celery sticks, lemon wedges, fresh dill, flaky salt, and liqueurs. Have fun with all the topping choices. I included a vintage relish server with green olives, pickled onions, and peppadew peppers. For the serving forks, I used Callaway par tee plastic golf tees. They look like little forks. So fun!
Not a traditional ingredient, but I included Momofuku soy sauce. In the end, I add a couple of splashes to my glass. Trust me, it is very yummy! The sky's the limit when garnishing this fun drink. I included these stylish glasses, glass straws, and stainless steel cocktail skewers too.
I added a small round vase with golf balls. The flowers are white Hydrangeas and wheat grass. I added a silver ice bucket with a scoop on the second shelf. I love mixing different metals to create a sophisticated look. After all my hard work this morning, I am enjoying this fantastic cocktail!
Happy Father's Day! I hope you hit em’ long and straight and hope this post inspires you to have a Father’s Day breakfast too!
Always,
Rachael
